On September 8, 2017, 65-year-old Brian Leslie Heinrichsen from Puyallup, Washington, tragically lost his life in a hunting accident near Manokotak, Alaska. Heinrichsen and a lifelong friend had embarked on a moose hunting trip, arriving at a remote lake approximately eight miles north of Amanka Lake.
