On May 12, 2017, 56-year-old Richard Hall was found deceased in Ketchikan, Alaska, with a fatal stab wound to his neck. The following day, 42-year-old Joshua Kenneth Bliss contacted the Ketchikan Police Department, admitting to the stabbing during an argument the previous evening. Bliss also disclosed that he had disposed of the weapon by throwing it into the ocean.
