On September 5, 2024, 66-year-old Roosevelt Walker was found deceased alongside 68-year-old Larry Collins in an apartment at Freedom Manor Apartments, a senior living facility located at 1617 5th Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama. A friend with a key to the apartment discovered both men unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, prompting a call to emergency services.
