Death by Force

On March 27, 2024, at approximately 4:22 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot at 900 20th Street in the Ensley community. Upon arrival, they found 25-year-old Birmingham resident Quintez Deshawn Ladd lying unresponsive on the ground, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Services transported Ladd to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later that evening.
