In the summer of 2023, a violent encounter in Birmingham, Alabama, cut short the life of 24-year-old Jarvis Jerome Conley Jr. On the evening of Tuesday, June 20, Conley and a female companion found themselves in a heated argument with an acquaintance in the southwestern part of the city. The dispute escalated tragically, resulting in gunfire that left Conley fatally wounded and the woman with serious injuries.
