Death by Force

On May 25, 2023, at approximately 9:35 a.m., 23-year-old Deunte Jurrell Winston was discovered unresponsive on a porch in the 4300 block of 44th Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding officers from the Birmingham Police Department found Winston suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
