On a late spring morning in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 23-year-old Deunte Jurrell Winston was tragically cut short. On May 25, 2023, at approximately 9:35 a.m., Winston was found unresponsive on a porch in the 4300 block of 44th Avenue North. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was swiftly transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
