On March 26, 2023, at approximately 6:00 PM, 25-year-old Demetrius Antwan Davis Jr. was fatally shot at the Circle K gas station located at 1700 Tallapoosa Street in Birmingham, Alabama. While Davis was pumping gas, an assailant approached and opened fire. Davis attempted to defend himself by returning fire but ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
