On May 7, 2019, 41-year-old Benny Bozeman was fatally injured during an altercation at an apartment complex located at 33 Center Street North in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to reports of a fight, Birmingham Police officers arrived to find Bozeman unresponsive; he was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
