Luman Jones II, a 65-year-old man from Fairfield, Alabama, was fatally shot on July 3, 2023, in an incident that has left the local community in shock. The shooting took place late in the afternoon outside of a residence in the 800 block of 58th Street in Fairfield. According to authorities, Jones was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
