On November 19, 2022, 24-year-old Anthony Thomas Hudson of Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident. The collision occurred around 1:45 a.m. on the 6500 block of Aaron Aronov Drive in Fairfield. An off-duty sheriff’s deputy discovered Hudson's body at the scene.
