On the evening of September 3, 2022, at approximately 9:20 PM, Birmingham Police Department officers responded to multiple Shot Spotter alerts in the 100 Block of 3rd Avenue West. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Marquse Terrail Yarbrough and 24-year-old Jalen Jamarcus Tolbert lying in the roadway, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
