On December 28, 2019, at approximately 3:20 a.m., Tarriq Curtis Childs, a 28-year-old male from Silver Spring, Maryland, was found fatally shot in the Unit block of Riggs Road NE, Washington, D.C. Officers responding to the scene discovered Childs inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
