On September 10, 2022, 61-year-old Roger Wolfe was fatally shot at his residence on Fall City Road in the Manchester community near Jasper, Alabama. The Walker County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and discovered Wolfe deceased outside the home. Preliminary investigations, supported by witness statements, indicated that Wolfe was shot by his 40-year-old stepson, Jamie Lee Vines, during a domestic argument.
