On April 30, 2022, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Talladega Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at 417 East Sloan Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Spencer Lamar "Boo-Man" Reeves Jr. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Reeves was transported to Citizens Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
