On January 1, 2022, 36-year-old Robert Leon Doss was found deceased in a wooded area off Lock 17 Road near Griffis Road, west of Oak Grove, Alabama. An ATV rider discovered his body around 11:48 p.m. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified Doss and indicated that his death was being investigated as a homicide.
