On March 30, 2022, at approximately 2:20 p.m., 16-year-old Steve'Terris Stubbs was fatally shot during an apparent assault in the 400 block of Woodward Road in Midfield, Alabama. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office reported that Stubbs sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old boy was also injured in the incident, suffering a graze wound, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
