In the early morning hours of April 7, 2020, the life of a 16-year-old African-American female named Janaija Johnson was tragically cut short in Wilmington, Delaware. Just before 5:00 a.m., while sitting in her car, Johnson was struck by gunfire. The incident occurred near the intersection of 6th and Van Buren Streets.
