On November 2, 2021, Maurice Jones Jr., 20, was fatally shot in a predawn incident in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Police responded to a reported shooting around 3 a.m. on 11th Court, where they found Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
