On July 4, 2021, 55-year-old Alejandro Hernandez Garcia was fatally shot during a home invasion in Fultondale, Alabama. Early that morning, three masked men armed with handguns entered his residence in the 1000 block of Bayberry Lane, demanding money from the occupants. Garcia attempted to disarm the intruders but was shot during the struggle and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His wife and children were present during the incident but were unharmed.
