On August 11, 2019, 60-year-old Dewayne Braxton Hubbert was involved in a severe vehicle collision on Interstate 65 near Fultondale, Alabama. The accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Zorro Vontonnyae Sanders, traveling at approximately 100 miles per hour, collided with Hubbert's car, which was carrying several passengers. Hubbert sustained critical injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on August 14, 2019.
