On October 1, 2020, 31-year-old Dana Odell Boyd II was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 5:05 p.m. at 440 4th Street North. Boyd was outside an apartment building with friends when two suspects approached and opened fire, striking him. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel.
