On January 15, 2020, 26-year-old Kyre Robinson was found shot to death in his apartment located in the 4200 block of Fifth Avenue South in Birmingham's Avondale neighborhood. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. South Precinct officers responded to a call reporting a person shot and discovered Robinson deceased on the floor of his apartment. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
