In the early hours of a Monday morning in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 37-year-old David Franklin Lee Jr. was cut short. On January 13, 2020, inside the Showstoppers Motorcycle Club on Coosa Street, a dispute escalated into fatal violence. An argument, the specifics of which remain unclear, led to a physical fight and then to the sound of gunfire that pierced the night at approximately 2:06 a.m.
