On March 3, 2019, 31-year-old Jennifer Marie Lane of Moody, Alabama, was fatally assaulted in a domestic incident at a residence on the 800 block of 82nd Street South in Birmingham's East Lake area. Following the assault, she was transported by a man to St. Vincent's East Hospital, where she was pronounced dead that afternoon. The nature of her injuries was not disclosed.
