Juan A. Casarez, 35, a Hispanic/Latino man, was shot and killed on August 29, 2010, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the early hours that Sunday, he sat in a car with his sister and brother-in-law near the 1300 block of West National Avenue when another vehicle pulled alongside; gunfire erupted from the other car and a bullet struck him in the neck. He did not survive his wounds, and loved ones later remembered him by his nickname, “Tony.”
