In the winter of 2016, a 27-year-old Caucasian male named Cody Harris, a Marine veteran and father, left his home on the morning of December 12th on a simple errand to buy diapers. This ordinary task took a tragic turn, marking the last time his family would see him alive. Later that morning, before 11:00 a.m., Milwaukee police were called to the area near 5th and Walnut, where they found Harris suffering from gunshot wounds.
