On September 4, 1979, 18-year-old Alice Margaret Eskew left her home on Arctic Avenue in Virginia Beach, Virginia, walking towards Laskin Road just before dusk. When she did not return that evening, her family filed a missing person’s report. Two days later, on September 6, her body was discovered in a densely wooded area of Seashore State Park, just off Shore Drive. She had been beaten and died as a result of blunt force trauma.
