On June 23, 1974, the body of Beverly Mackey Christensen, a 24-year-old white female, was discovered in her apartment located in the 2500 block of Arctic Avenue in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She had been last seen alive on the afternoon of June 22, 1974. An autopsy conducted by the State Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that her death was a homicide. Beverly Christensen was described as having blue eyes, blonde hair, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
