2 women, in town for a convention, are found murdered in Chesapeake Bay On August 19, 1983, the bodies of 26-year-old Joan Zwingman and her friend Christine Pilczak were discovered floating in the Chesapeake Bay, Virginia Beach. They had been attending a conference in the area and were last seen socializing with some men they met while out. Both women were believed to have been killed after being struck by a boat propeller, and their deaths were ruled as homicides. Despite the detailed investigation, the case remains unsolved, with no arrests made.
