On a Friday in late April of 1983, the quiet life of a Virginia Beach woman came to a tragic and violent end. Hazel Williams, a 55-year-old Black female, was discovered deceased in her apartment located in the 800 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard on April 22nd. Investigators determined that she had succumbed to blunt force trauma, and her death was officially ruled a homicide.
