A grocery store employee is murdered during a robbery
On February 22, 1990, 56-year-old Annunciacion Lapio Imperial was brutally murdered while working alone as a clerk at the Fil-Am Grocery Store in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The crime occurred between 3:30 and 4:30 PM at the store located in the Providence Square Shopping Center on Kempsville Road. Robbery is believed to have been the motive, as the store was known to have cash on hand.
