Authorities have identified an elderly Birmingham man found shot to death inside his car at a Lomb Avenue McDonald's Friday morning as Charles Williams.West Precinct officers found Williams, 81, slumped inside his car at 6 a.m. in the parking lot at 732 Lomb Avenue.
Williams' death is the first homicide recorded in Birmingham since Nov. 30 and the 84th this year.
