Jewel Hunter, a 27-year-old woman, died on January 1, 2017, in Houston, Texas. Her death was the result of a fatal shooting that occurred on December 20, 2016, at 4200 Mowery. On the night of the incident, officers responded to a report of a shooting and found Ms. Hunter lying in the street with a gunshot wound. She was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital but succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on January 1, 2017.
