Carl Reed, a 23-year-old man from Nashville, Tennessee, was shot and killed on May 31, 2009, outside his duplex on Heiman Street. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. when a neighbor heard a gunshot and discovered Reed lying behind the building. Prior to the shooting, Reed received a phone call, and two men were reported to have visited his residence. Shortly after their arrival, Reed was shot, and one of the men was seen fleeing the scene.
