In the early morning hours of a Friday in downtown Memphis, a confrontation outside a hotel escalated to a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 37-year-old Shaun Michael Ray. The incident unfolded after an initial dispute between Ray and another man, identified as Carl Luks.

According to police, the altercation began with a non-lethal exchange, during which Luks allegedly used pepper spray on Ray. In response, Ray is said to have thrown a scooter at Luks. Following this, Luks reportedl ...
