On March 17, 2024, Daniel Jackson, a 31-year-old father of three, was fatally shot at the Corning Village Apartments in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred around 3 p.m., when Memphis Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire at the apartment complex located on Briercrest Lane in the Frayser community. Upon arrival, they found Jackson suffering from a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
