In the spring of 2012, a shooting in Knoxville, Tennessee, claimed the life of 24-year-old Andrew 'Drew' Howell Sr., a Black / African American male. The incident unfolded on the evening of March 31, 2012, at 1705 Washington Avenue. Howell sustained a gunshot wound and was subsequently transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away the following day, on April 1, 2012.
