Stephen Bryant Jenkins, a 39-year-old man from Clinton, Tennessee, tragically died on February 16, 2022, from a gunshot wound. He was dropped off at the University of Tennessee Medical Center emergency room by someone in a Ford SUV, but despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The Knoxville Police Department responded to the hospital around 5:20 p.m. on the day of the incident. The shooting is believed to have occurred in the Montgomery Village area
