In the late spring of 2016, a South Nashville evening was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 58-year-old Vincente Rodriguez. On May 19th, the Caucasian male was confronted by an unknown individual who had emerged from a vehicle. In a sudden and fatal encounter, Rodriguez was shot.
Emergency services responded to the scene of the shooting, located at Plus Parks Boulevard and Pavilion Drive, around 7:30 p.m. Despite any efforts to save him, Vincente Rodriguez succumbed to his injuries. The perpetrator fled the scene, leaving behind a community in shock and a family devastated by the senseless loss of a loved one.
In the years that have followed, the investigation into Rodriguez's death has remained active, though it has transitioned into a cold case. Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department have continued to seek information from the public, hoping for a lead that could bring a resolution to the case. To date, no suspect has been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the murder. The case remains an unsolved homicide, a painful open wound for a family still awaiting justice for the man they lost on that tragic May evening.
