In the autumn of 2017, the life of 35-year-old Abraham James Owens was cut short in a violent encounter in Knoxville, Tennessee. An African-American male, Owens was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the evening of October 10th in the 1600 block of Peltier Road in the northwestern part of the city.
