In the early morning hours of January 24, 2018, the life of 34-year-old Adrian Harris, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on Selma Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee. Responding to reports of a shooting at approximately 1:24 a.m., Knoxville Police officers arrived at the scene to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso. Both Harris and another man, identified as 27-year-old James Watts, were rushed to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
