In the early morning hours of June 22, 2023, the life of 18-year-old Jarmarion Tremayne Chambers was tragically cut short in Knoxville, Tennessee. A Black male, Jarmarion was discovered unresponsive near the dumpsters of the Montgomery Village apartment complex in the South Knoxville area. The Knoxville Police Department responded to a call around 6:30 a.m. and found that he had been shot multiple times.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Born on May 5, 2005, in Knoxville to Jarvis Chambers and Ciara Siler, Jarmarion was a young father to his daughter, Jupiter Nicole Chambers. His sudden death left a void in the lives of his parents, grandparents, numerous siblings, and a host of other relatives and friends who remembered him as a sweet and cherished individual. A celebration of his life was held on June 30, 2023, at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
The investigation into Jarmarion's death was immediately launched by the Knoxville Police Department's Homicide Unit. At the scene, on the 1100 block of Daylily Drive, investigators collected multiple shell casings as they began to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting. Detectives believe that Jarmarion was walking through the apartment complex when he was shot by an unknown assailant.
Despite the ongoing investigation and the active pursuit of leads by detectives, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Jarmarion Tremayne Chambers. The suspect or suspects responsible for his death remain unidentified. Authorities have urged the community to come forward with any information that might lead to an arrest, offering the possibility of anonymity and a cash reward for tips that help solve the case. The search for justice for Jarmarion and his grieving family continues.
