In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Knoxville, Tennessee, a young man's life was tragically cut short. Adrian Robuck, a 25-year-old male, was working as an armed security guard at The Kave nightclub on Magnolia Avenue on May 20, 2023, when he was fatally shot. Another individual was also wounded in the incident.
Knoxville Police Department investigators believe the shooting was a targeted attack, but that Robuck was not the intended victim. At the time of the shooting, he was fulfilling his duties, a role his family said he was passionate about as he dedicated his life to protecting others. In addition to his work as a security guard, Robuck was a respected member of the Army National Guard, where he served as a military police officer.
Adrian Robuck was a graduate of Austin East High School, where he was a member of the Roadrunner band and the ROTC program, which sparked his interest in the military. His family and friends remember him as a peacemaker, a gentle and kind person who would go above and beyond for anyone. In the wake of his death, his mother pleaded for answers and for witnesses to come forward with any information.
As of late May 2023, the Knoxville Police Department had not made any arrests in the case and had not publicly identified any suspects. A reward was offered for information that could lead to the apprehension of those responsible for Adrian Robuck's death.
