On an autumn evening in Knoxville, Tennessee, what began as a dispute over a drug deal escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 19-year-old Bryson McGrotha. On October 31, 2018, the young man from Sevierville was with friends at a residence on Smith Lane in South Knoxville when the fatal encounter unfolded. The conflict reportedly began earlier in the day and culminated in a violent confrontation.
