On July 7, 2022, Anthony Hickman, a 34-year-old man from Knoxville, TN, was shot at an apartment on Gaston Avenue. Initially, it was believed that Hickman had accidentally shot himself. However, further investigation revealed that Keysha Hall, a 42-year-old woman, was holding the gun when it discharged. Hickman had told Hall that the gun was unloaded and asked her to put it in his mouth. Hall then pointed the gun at Hickman and pulled the trigger, resulting in his death.
