Birmingham police said a man was found shot dead in his pickup truck.

The Birmingham News reported that police found George Phillips, 54, in his white truck around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene. No other details were immediately available.

Police ask that anyone with information about the shooting call the Birmingham homicide unit at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
