In the late winter evening of February 22, 2010, tragedy struck in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. A young man, 22-year-old Daton Boyd, was found suffering from gunshot wounds in Elmore Square. The call came into city police at 7:48 p.m., reporting the urgent situation in the 2100 block of Elmore.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Boyd, who had been shot. According to information gathered at the location, it appeared that Boyd had staggered from between two buildings, 2 ...
