On August 30, 2011, Khalil Jackson, a 22-year-old Black male, was murdered in Southwest Philadelphia. Authorities responded to Buist Avenue and Bonaffon Street shortly before 10 p.m., following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found Jackson with a gunshot wound to the head, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
