On April 17, 2014, Carl Johnson, a 29-year-old African American male, was kidnapped in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as part of a robbery scheme. Alongside Ryan Hardy, he was abducted by individuals identified as , Brandon McKelvey, Nysare Alston, DeForest Johnson, and Ken Thomas. During the course of the robbery, both Carl Johnson and Ryan Hardy were shot. Carl Johnson succumbed to his injuries, resulting in his death on April 18, 2014.
