Malik Stanard, a 19-year-old from Philadelphia, was shot and killed on August 7, 2014. Responding to a call at 8:59 p.m., Philadelphia police found Stanard lying in the street on the 2300 block of North 10th Street, suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and chest. Officers transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
